Ceiling Light for Pavilion

The ceiling light was designed to have light pouring from between the edge of the Thuja occidentalis, which were created during the production of the furnitures. The overall volume was designed to blend in with the interior by aligning it with the beams of the pavilion. Two LED bulbs are built in on each side, and softwood plywood was used for the exterior except for the edge in order to reduce weight. The furniture modestly illuminates spaces without lighting furnitures. This ceiling light softly illuminates the interior space of the pavilion, which has no light furniture.

什器の制作にて生まれたニオイヒバの耳を用いて、その間から光が注ぐデザインとしたシーリングライト。全体のボリュームは休憩施設の梁と揃えることで、内部に溶け込むデザインとした。左右に2つのLED電球を内蔵しており、耳以外の外観には軽量化を計るため、針葉樹合板を用いた。照明器具の無い空間をささやかに照らす什器。
