This stool is made of four Abies sachalinensis square timbers (105mm×105mm) bound together in a design that evokes the original appearance of the trees when they lived as standing timbers. The seat board is made of Thuja occidentalis, which has a beautiful reddish grain. At first glance, the stool looks massive, but it has a lightness due to the 12mm spacing between the four square timbers and the 10mm cutout on the ground plane of the stool.

トドマツの角材4本を束ね、立木として生きていた時代の樹木本来の姿を想像させるデザインとしたスツール。座板は、ニオイヒバの赤みのある美しい木目の表しとした。一見重厚感もあるが、束ねられた4本の角材同士の12mmの間隔と、設置面の10mmの切り欠きによる軽やかさを持ち合わせる什器。
